Perhaps few know it, but Alessandria is the country of the Soccer table in Italy,

a game been born in France or in Germany toward the end of the forties and become

popular. The prototypes of this game were conceived in Italy in 1936 by an artisan of

Poggibonsi, that limited him to of the tests. In 1947 they were servants and diffused in

France the first Soccer table called "Sportfoot" for worth of a genial Marseille man, Marcel

they founded the society Reta Plastic moulding. In 1953 it was commissioned

to the firm the construction of a mold for players in material plastic (until then they were

in wood). But the client didn't pay neither the mold neither the players and the factory was held

everything. It was born so the production of accessories for soccer tables that it accompanied the

whole life of the firm that today is European leader of this sector and it exports all over the world.

To all today in the Alessandrine 3 producers exist of soccer tables. Today the Reta counts still

one of the two partners founders: Taverna Franco. Project are on Cad-Cam 3d, there are 11 CNC

moulding machines connected to a central computer and factory works for all the most prestigious

producers of the sector besides for great names in other sectors.
